  • Preschool is the first step towards a successful academic career and Notre Dame Early Learning Center program provides developmentally appropriate full and half day preschool classes for 3 and 4 year old children. Classes are offered in a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of families. Activities are designed to develop children’s self-esteem, create positive feelings toward learning, and prepare children for success in later grades. The learning activities are designed to build early literacy and math skills and are responsive to the needs of each child. We welcome your family to be a part of our community!

The main emphasis for the three year old program is social development. Opportunities for the child’s growth and development are provided to:

    • Allow the child to feel positive and secure in an environment away from home.

    • Assist the child in communication skills, relationships with others and cooperative play in a Christian community.

    • Introduce a developmentally appropriate variety of preschool skills such as counting numbers to ten, shapes, colors, first name recognition, glue and scissor use.

    • Allow the child to develop at their individual pace of learning.

A child must be three (3) years old by October 1st and potty trained to join this class. You may choose to have your child participate from two to five days a week. The half-day program begins at 8:00am and dismisses at 11:30am. Students in full-day preschool and full day pre-kindergarten begin at 8:00 am and dismisses at 3:00 pm

Additional after care is available from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. There is an additional charge for this service.

  • The emphasis for the pre-kindergarten program continues to focus on the value of social skills with the introduction of developmentally appropriate Kindergarten readiness skills. Opportunities for the child's growth and development are provided to:

    • Continue the development of communication and social skills.

    • Continue recognition of numbers one to ten, and introduce alphabet recognition.

    • Practice individual and cooperative responsibility within the classroom and self-help skills; and the use of appropriate manners.

    • Learn to work together, share with others, and live cooperatively in the world and Christian community.

    • Foster and promote a positive attitude towards learning.

    • Allow each child to develop at their individual pace of learning.

A child must be four (4) years old by October 1st and potty trained to join this class.

Parent Guide to Catholic High Schools

We believe that the mission of a Catholic school is fundamentally different to the goal of a secular school. Catholic schools exist to be sanctuaries of education which serve your family, in order that our school might help you as you bring your children into an encounter with Jesus Christ. We desire to serve you as parents and support your desire for your children to be transformed by a relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in wisdom and virtue, and discover their call for their lives as young men and women created in God’s image and likeness. This understanding of our mission is vital if we are to properly serve your family for the sake of your child’s formation and education. Our schools do not function in our mission to help bring children to Jesus Christ if not for bringing them to Jesus Christ through your family.

That is why we have put together this parent guide to high schools in the Archdiocese of Denver. We want you to make an informed decision about where your child should go to high school. As a part of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Denver, we also believe that a Catholic high school can make a vital contribution to your child’s continued formation in the Catholic faith. Therefore, our desire is that this guide helps you make a well-informed decision as a parent about which Catholic high school is the best fit for your child and your family.

Peace and Blessings
