Vacation Bible School kicked off today with a bang! Over sixty students have arrived for a fun filled week of games, skits, learning, and experiencing what Jesus’ lifestyle would’ve looked like 2000 years ago with this year’s theme: Jerusalem marketplace.
The students are first divided into the twelve tribes of Israel where they will learn the history of Jesus’ heritage. From there, they will rotate between creating goods to sell in the marketplace, learning biblical and historical lessons in the synagogue, and exploring the surrounding meadows outside of the city at the Jerusalem playground!
After a few years of Covid, it is so refreshing to see so many young faces learning and growing together in person. Vacation Bible School has always been one of the best social programs for the parish and school’s children and with the success of this year’s addition, it is sure to remain that way.
