37 parishioners gathered at Notre Dame last Saturday to pray and to discuss the mission and future direction of the Catholic Church, Notre Dame Parish, and Catholic disciples individually as part of the Synod on Synodality called by the Holy Father. A great success, each small group had fruitful prayer and dialogue, leading to concrete suggestions and insights.
The results of each group’s discussion, synthesized into one document detailing the conversation at large, have been forwarded to the Archdiocese. Notre Dame’s insights will join those from other synodal gatherings from other participating parishes within the Archdiocese. An Archdiocesan team will then synthesize all of the gathered information and forward it to the Vatican to be used in the Synod of Bishops which will be held in the fall of 2023.
Thank you to everyone for their participation and prayer!
