Getting Involved

Children and Youth Ministries

Work with the Youth in our Parish

Want to get involved in helping build the faith with our youth at Notre Dame? The following are several ways to get involved.

Catechist and Catechist Aide  — Catechists and aides teach the faith to others.  They help teach in our children’s faith formation program.  The most important characteristic for a catechist is their excitement about the faith and desire to share it with others.  Training provided.  For more information contact Jim Knowles at 303.742.2351 or jknowles@denvernotredame.org.

YDisciple Adult Mentors — Adult mentors meet weekly with a group of 5-8 teenagers for discipleship rooted in Scripture. Mentors need to love teenagers, be open to learning more about our Catholic faith and have a desire to grow in holiness. Small groups meet every week at a time and location that is convenient for all members of the group.

Youth Ministry Support Teams—Members of the youth ministry support team will be added to an email list and assist with various odd jobs on an as-needed basis. This can include helping with a fundraiser, providing set up for an event, or assisting with administrative responsibilities. This is a great ministry for someone who wants to help with meaningful ministry but can’t commit to a regular schedule.
