Called & Gifted Workshop

January 8, 2022

Notre Dame Parish is pleased to host Sherry Weddell and Katherine Coolidge of the Catherine of Siena Institute for a private workshop for our parishioners here on Saturday, January 8! Register below!

Sherry, the founder of the Catherine of Siena Institute, has “developed numerous unique formation resources that are used around the world and trained and helps lead an international team who have worked directly with over 170,000 lay, religious, and ordained Catholics in 600+ parishes in 195 (arch)dioceses on 5 continents.” Her book, Forming Intentional Disciples, in many ways serves as a guide for discipleship.

Katherine, the Director of Parish and Diocesan Services, has worked in pastoral ministry for two decades and has been in leadership at the Institute since 2014, having contributed to a number of other books and programs on discipleship.

The workshop will detail a number of charisms, gifts from the Holy Spirit to believers for the upbuilding of the Church, and walk participants through a discernment of which charisms the Lord has given to them, that they are in turn meant to use for His glory.

For more information on the workshop, visit the Catherine of Siena Institute’s website here or see the PDF brochures below.

Called & Gifted Workshop
Notre Dame Parish is hosting a Called and Gifted Retreat on Saturday, January 8. Internationally renowned author, Sherry Weddell, ( Forming Intentional Disciples and Fruitful Discipleship ) will conduct the retreat designed to help parishioners discern the presence of charisms in their lives. Charisms, or spiritual gifts, are special abilities the Holy Spirit has given to all Christians to empower them to represent Christ and be a channel of God's goodness for one another. Participants will learn 1) the role of every Catholic and Notre Dame Parish in the mission of the church; 2) the critical role of charisms in the life and service of others; 3) the signs and characteristics of 24 common charisms. As we look discern our new mission for the next 65 years in this 65th Anniversary year, we need your generosity in sharing the charisms that God has given you! There is no cost to attend, but participants are asked to donate $20 for participant materials. Checks can be made out to the Catherine of Siena Institute on the day of the workshop. For more information regarding the workshop, visit www.siena.org.
